The art is wonderful and the idea is supper! Where I draw some concern is how this is explained and not what is experienced as the basis for the story. What I mean by this is that knowledge is self correcting as is science, social and world views. To tell this sort of story with the dynamics of what can be said; consider that some cultures would find this difficult to embrace...just as what I know about the difficulty of experience. Why? We use the same words, but the words have variable meanings. For example, the Milky Way for me is our first mother...in fact our virgin mother. She births Suns/Sons and the sons birth planets out of stardust. Earth/Gaia is our second mother and legends give that we are currently experiencing the 4th world and awaiting the 5th Sun in order to create a 5th world. BTW, those legends are not common to others...and are exclusively Mayan in origin. The playful period discussed is really an introduction to sex. Are you willing? Do you have passion and the willingness to play? What are your expectations, what are the rules and laws of this sort of play? Are you satisfied with the experience, but locked into the dynamics of the culture existing at the time of the experience. This all is part of the cultural rules and laws. BTW...genetics, DNA, are all governed by the environment the experience of our individual cells (re. Bruce H. Lipton--Phoenix Rising). Religion tends to define the laws of the experience as does government...which is why both attempt to assimilate people rather than integrate ideas. While we redesign governance to make it easy to govern...religion is the opiate of the masses and between the two...vicious beta personalities have accumulated power measured in wealth and held back evolution by controlling the process. This is especially true today. Today...has been shaped first by Reason, then Laws and followed by Power Since the Age of Gemini to present. Each step of our evolutionary process shaped by experience have trumped that which came before. Today, we are in the timespace of Ethics...and can clearly see that Power is out of control. What is the common life form...if not romancing electrons and protons (re. Global Brain--Howard Bloom) to which I add...in balance with gravitons. Thus our Mental processes (Reptile Brain-Mammal Brain) can be aligned through our heart to connect to the Soul-Spirit-Consciousness. Spirit is the electrical universe and Soul is the darkness/blackholes/Gravity/Mind. We experience each through balance of our left brain (Spirit) with our right brain, i.e., (Soul-Spirit-Consciousness. We emerge from mankind to humankind by the alignment of the animal to the immortal persona called human. Yes, we need a new story with people who take responsibility and act from their heart space. I feel therefore I think. What I think works, if I act from my heart. Do what thou wilst is the whole of the law. Love is the law. Will over Love means, (-0)(-0) = (0+1)e O=Love 1=Will. Any questions?

The story of the universe related by Brian Swimme would aid in 'changing minds.' The whole of human development is a story - told in many perspectives. Swimme's is adding up to these stories, his NOW tale is its significance. Taking his story is not rejecting others;their inclusion is obviously clear in evolution story, and perhaps deepens a bit - in view of nearness to truth from new science and experiences. From the archaic story to magic, to mythic, to rational, to psychic, and so on, as consciousness matures - as humans develop their flourishing "self." Thank you, Brian Swimme. The story of the universe is a wonderful one.

This helped to put into perspective why the global shift is happening and that it will proceed, because it is part of our evolution.

I loved it, I know that I do not have to agree with everything stated, but opening the thought process to new and old ideas is a good thing to do. My love for North American Native American literature has helped settle me down to a degree and learn, listen and hear some of the world around me. David mentioned "Ishmael" by Daniel Quinn who's book(s)I cherish as an awakening tool along with countless others that I have read and not gotten to yet. I have no complaint with Brian leading because without his help on this dialog I would be talking to myself and I do not challenge myself enough! I know that I am insignificant to the "big whole", but that everything I touch can make a small difference in our story of what is and will be. I want to become a positive and compassionate influence since "Negative" has ruled me for too many years. Michael, I will add your suggestion to my list, but I remind myself in your comments regarding old and new... all words are old, what makes them new to me is the manner in which they are "told". I welcome your comments, especially since we are in the "Now" stage of our creative path. I plan on having some serious fun with this process. And read and share more books!

It seems that Brian wants to write this story for us. Perhaps we are to understand him as the Apostle and interpreter of the "true story of the universe?" I am left wondering, what is his authority to do so? Not much new here at all, it seems.

I have thought the same things or similar for most of my life. I now feel that this subsitutes a "creator" with decisions to evolve or change.

This is not a new story. This is an old story. This is the same old scientific dogma about evolution except now, instead of arguing that we are merely another random product of evolution, we now are hearing arguments that we are "special." We (humans) are the "cutting edge" of a creation. Only we can share "deep" experiences. Yikes. I thought geo-centric thinking went out of fashion after Copernicus. Not that I have any trouble with thinking that we (and by we I mean all life forms animated by Immortal Spirit) are special. I just think that this particular version of our identity is simply and old story dressed up to look new with all the right symbols, some fancy mystical sounding music, and some fancy flash production. Nothing new here at all. Same old dogma. An attempt to capture the awakening mind with more of the same. Here's a new story for you. IMHO, this is a real new story. For your consideration. http://www.avatarpublication.com/ebooks/thebookoflight.pdf

Well, i would recommend to read "Ishmael" by Daniel Quinn to get an idea why i am not so convinced, that this "new story" is really totally new to our species. 10.000 years ago, which is actually a blink of an eye in the whole evolution of life, some cultures of our species "decided" to play "god" (or whatever you might call it) and claimed that everything belonged to humans. So with this arrogant point of view, they decided to settle down and let no other species consume the food that was farmed on "their" land. This was the start of the culture we are living in (i guess about 90% of our species is part of this culture now) - but there are still other so called "primitive" cultures beside us, that remind us about what has been left along "our" way. This was the wisdom of our true "SELF", which is immortal, transcending and has nothing to do with our "EGO" that only exist in this, actually quite illusional reality, because it is made out of our five senses. Anyway, we are not the most evolved species, i guess any species thinks that for itself, and only because we dominate the others doesn't make us more evolved. What we really have to do is re-connect to our "SELF". If we are aware of that, death and birth are just waves in a big ocean. And this reality here is a wonderful playground to make experiences. That's why we have to make the big turn, or let it be a shift, because it's not so much fun to make experience in a reality full of arrogance, domination, pain and totalitarian power. And i thank "God", that even science, that did so much harm to this reality, did come to an enlightend state, that gives us a wonderful brige to cross and get our-selves enlightend. ;) Let's change - there is more than hope - there is pure love...

This conversation gives me new hope for survival. I'm eger to learn and contribute to this story that excites me. I love the presentation. I moves my imagination and motivates me into action. I'm curious what I can do to help create this new story that us humans need to have in order to survive. Bring it on I'm all ears.
